We're heading into summer here in Las Vegas, the season when we have almost 3 months of triple digit temperatures and practically have to live underground. So it's important to take advantage of the last few days of tolerable heat to explore some outdoor art. In 2006 the Boulder City Art Scape project brought 30 pieces of public art to the streets of Boulder City. Every year approximately twelve new pieces are added to the collection. They range from representative to abstract and can be found on the streets and sidewalks of this town. What a great activity to take advantage of as Las Vegas begins to come out of quarantine. You could even have your little ones go on a scavenger hunt or draw some of their favorites.
There is a lot more public art in Boulder City. Watch this video to learn about what else the city has to offer and make a day of your visit.
