You don't have to travel downtown to the Art's District or to strip hotel galleries to see some interesting art in Las Vegas. You just have to look around you and of course read the Neon in the Friday edition of the Las Vegas Review Journal. It's a great resource. Right now you can see 40 works of abstract art created by 34 local artists at the Winchester Cultural Center (3130 S McLeod Drive) in their current exhibit Existing in Thought. You will find a wide array of abstracts including oils, mixed media, mosaics, digital arts, and sculpture. It's a small exhibit, but it's worth the time and definitely the admission which is free!
